The brief
OceanQuest's VIP launch took place aboard the research vessel OceanXplorer, with diplomats, industry leaders and conservationists on the guest list.
Registration needed detailed information without feeling like paperwork, and the event team needed clean data the moment guests confirmed.
Built with
UX lead & PM I led UX and ran delivery for a VIP registration with a fixed date and a guest list of diplomats.
What I did
- Designed a multi-step registration that asks for one thing at a time.
- Set the deep-ocean visual direction for the launch.
- Designed the English and Arabic interface.
- Specified the CSV and PDF exports the logistics team needed.
- Managed delivery against a fixed launch date.
The impact
- 92%of invited guests completed registration
- 4short steps instead of one long form
- 2languages, English and Arabic
- 6hof manual data entry saved by the exports
The call I made
Short steps for busy guests
Diplomats and executives will not fill in a long form. Splitting it into short steps, with progress shown, kept every detail we needed without losing people halfway.
What shipped
- A multi-step registration form that asks for one thing at a time
- An English and Arabic interface
- A deep-ocean visual style with a high-contrast RSVP action
- Instant confirmations for every guest
- CSV and PDF exports for the logistics team
