A website that lets a five-star caterer's food do the selling.

The brief
Emirates Palace Catering serves everything from private dinners to international summits. The old site neither showed the food nor the scale of what the team can do.
We designed it like a ballroom: deep blacks, muted gold, generous space and full-width photography, organised by the kind of event a planner has in mind.
Built with
UX lead & PM I led UX and ran the project for a caterer whose food deserved to do the selling.
What I did
- Ran discovery with EPC's events team to learn how planners choose a caterer.
- Organised the services into experiences: corporate, social and institutional.
- Set a black, gold and cream direction taken from the palace itself.
- Designed the request-a-proposal flow for event planners.
- Managed delivery, image optimisation and the launch.
The impact
- 3experience paths: corporate, social and institutional
- 2.4xtime on site
- +50%proposal requests in the first quarter
- -60%image weight with next-gen formats
The call I made
Sell the occasion, not the menu
Planners do not start with dishes; they start with the event. Organising the site by kind of occasion let a wedding planner and a summit organiser each find their world in one click.
What shipped
- A black, gold and cream palette taken from the palace itself
- Services organised as corporate, social and institutional experiences
- Full-width food photography with fast, lazy-loaded images
- A request-a-proposal flow for event planners
- A heritage story told with gentle scroll reveals
